Guide for your First Gynecological Appointment
Everything you need to know to prepare and feel comfortable on your first visit.

A first gynecological consultation often brings doubts or nervousness, but it is actually a safe space of trust, guidance, and preventive care.
The main goal of this visit is not to perform invasive exams unless necessary, but to establish a relationship of trust, review your medical history, and answer all questions about your menstrual cycle, contraception options, and infection prevention.
Key Tips to Prepare
- 01.
Waxing is not required: Come as you feel most comfortable. We do not care about aesthetics; we only focus on evaluating your reproductive and clinical health.
- 02.
Track your cycle dates: It is very helpful to know the date of your last period and cycle duration to evaluate if your ovulation and hormones are developing properly.
- 03.
Prepare your questions: Do not feel embarrassed to ask anything. No topic is taboo: from menstrual pain to sexual health and birth control.
A Safe and Judgment-Free Space
Our mission in Reynosa is to provide a warm environment where adolescents and adult women feel heard, respected, and protected under strict medical confidentiality.
We recommend that the first visit take place between ages 13 and 15, or before starting sexual activity, to provide timely preventive education.
